The Sports Training and Recovery staff and junior ambassadors have truly showcased their dedication and athleticism with outstanding performances at the 2024 Noosa Triathlon. This year’s event brought together athletes and fitness enthusiasts from all over the world, all pushing their limits across a gruelling course. Among the competitors were members of the Sports Training and Recovery team, who not only completed the race but also delivered some remarkable results, proving that their expertise in training and recovery isn’t just for their clients but also something they embody themselves.

Take, for example, Lachlan Morley, who finished with a gun time of 2:20:27, placing an impressive 370th out of 4,571 competitors overall and 331st out of 3,368 in the male category. As a guide, he ranked first, a testament to his skills, resilience and dedication to this sport. Brody Velthuis also demonstrated extraordinary performance with a gun time of 2:20:26, securing the 369th place overall and 330th in the male division. Notably, he ranked first in the PT category, highlighting his commitment and excellence in physical training and recovery.

Another standout performer was Mia Marks, who clocked an impressive time of 2:12:47. Mia ranked 166th overall and 16th among female competitors, and she was the top finisher in her 20-24 age group. Her success in the race reflects both her physical capabilities and the effective training regimen she follows.

Terrance (Aka Ted) Britt also showed remarkable endurance, finishing with a gun time of 2:20:52. Placing 386th overall and 346th among males, he took 12th place in the Legends category, underscoring his experience and longevity in the sport. Each of these athletes from the Sports Training and Recovery team displayed exceptional determination, strategic pacing, and incredible stamina to reach their goals.

These results not only reflect the individual efforts of these athletes but also serve as a testament to the effectiveness of the Sports Training and Recovery team’s approach to fitness and well-being. Their results and success in this triathlon exemplify their understanding of sports science, training techniques, and recovery processes. Their performance in Noosa highlights their commitment to the principles they teach and the effectiveness of their methodologies.

Beyond the race, their achievements inspire clients and fans alike, showing that with the right preparation, recovery, and mindset, remarkable feats are achievable. The Noosa Triathlon is a challenging course, but the Sports Training and Recovery team handled it with professionalism, endurance, and a competitive spirit that made them stand out in the field.  You never know who else you’re likely to be sharing the pools or compression room with as STAR Members Peter Mathews, Darren Velthuis and Ray Velthuis also competed at Noosa setting the benchmark high.  Professional Triathlete and resident STAR Podiatrist Emily Donker raced in the pro-field and finished a very impressive 12th in a stacked field!

Overall, the team’s performance at the Noosa Triathlon is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and passion they bring to their profession. Congratulations to Lachlan, Brody, Mia, Terrance, Peter, Ray, Darren and Emily for their outstanding results and for being true ambassadors of fitness, health, and resilience.
